GRÃ BRETANHA NEGA VISTO DE ENTRADA A RENÉ GONZÁLEZ EM ATIVIDADE NAQUELE PAÍS. EMERGENCIALMENTE, OLGA SALANUEVA, SUA ESPOSA, MANTERÁ OS COMPROMISSOS FALANDO SOBRE OS CINCO E SOBRE A PROIBIÇÃO DE SEU MARIDO ENTRAR NAQUELE PAÍS.
René e sua esposa Olga Salanueva estão realizando viagem por vários países da Europa com a finalidade de divulgar o caso dos Cinco e pressionar o governo estadunidense a libertar os 3 ainda encarcerados em prisões dos EUA. Toda essa atividade - que se iniciou em Portugal com grande participação e apoio daquele país - teria prosseguimento a partir de hoje para outros países (que os convidaram) para denunciar os 16 anos de prisão dos Cinco que se completarão em 12 de setembro. Após terem sido convidados também por diversas organizações britânicas para participar entre 8 e 10 de setembro, eis que nesta data o governo britânico NEGA O VISTO DE ENTRADA DE RENÉ pela segunda vez (em março, na conferência de Londres, ele tampouco pôde comparecer). É o único país europeu a tomar esta atitude, em clara submissão às ordens do império.
Nenhum outro país europeu tomou tal decisão, impedindo uma atividade absolutamente pacífica e que gerava tanta expectativa entre os britânicos que ansiavam por ter contato com uma pessoa tão importante na luta contra o terrorismo.
Sua esposa, Olga, vai manter a atividade substituindo o marido nos compromissos assumidos para falar da causa e protestar contra a proibição de seu marido entrar no país.

Olga Salanueva, wife of released Miami Five prisoner René González, will speak at emergency meetings on 8-10 September to protest at the British government’s denial of an entry visa for her husband.
René, the first of the Miami Five to be released, was due to speak at meetings in Liverpool and London to mark the 16th anniversary of their arrests. Despite an invitation from 29 British MPs to address a meeting in parliament and by the TUC to address their Congress in Liverpool, the British government has refused three legal appeals to overturn their decision to deny him entry to the country.
Rene is currently in the middle of visits to Portugal and France, both countries having granted him a visa without issue.
